Ice Show

May 16, 17, 18 & 19, 2013*

Once again the Ice Show preparations have crept up on us...the next few months will be jam packed full of skating, skating & more skating!  Last year’s ice show was a great success, thanks to our outstanding skaters, volunteers & backstage crew.  All skaters in our learn-to-skate programs are welcome to participate in the ice show. The requirements are:  a skater must be registered and skate in the winter and spring lesson sessions.

The Ice Show is for everyone, from the very beginner to advanced skater.  This is the highlight of their skating season.  If you are a new beginner please don’t hesitate to sign up for the show.  By show time you will be spectacular!  Attached to this information packet you will find important dates about the show (to keep on hand) and the application costume order form.  This completed form is due Saturday, December 22.  PLEASE read carefully!

THEME/TITLE

This year’s show will be entitled “Mystical Magic on Ice”.

REHEARSAL

ALL REHEARSALS MUST BE ATTENDED.  We will begin rehearsals the week of April 15, 2013 and continue through the week of the ice show.  Each group will rehearse ONE weekend and ONE weeknight PER WEEK, equaling 7 – 8 rehearsals.  Exact dates and times of these practices will be forthcoming.  Most rehearsals will be in the West Rink.  We are asking parents to please wait in the lobby area during ice show practice times so their skater’s undivided attention can be focused directly to the instructor and their ice show program.  Your cooperation in this matter will be greatly appreciated.

DRESS REHEARSAL

Dress rehearsal will be on Tuesday, May 14.  This is your final practice and is MANDATORY!  Please have children wear their full costume to dress rehearsal.  All skaters will be allowed to watch the show during dress rehearsal.  All group skaters will skate in all shows.  DURING SHOW PERFORMANCES, SKATERS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED IN ARENA UNLESS THEY HAVE A TICKET!

VIDEO RECORDING

Masterview will be video recording.  Order forms will be available in the rink lobby during the scheduled recordings or you may pick one up in the rink office.

COST

All levels of skating are $100.00.  The ice show fees are non-refundable and must be paid on or before Saturday, December 22, 2012.

APPLICATION/COSTUME ORDER FORM

We will be happy to take your child’s measurements for costumes anytime when class lessons are being offered beginning Monday, November 26 thru Saturday, December 22.  All parents or guardians must approve and sign that their child’s measurements are accurate.  If the child is on the borderline of a costume we will choose the next size larger.  If alterations are needed you will be responsible for your own seamstress and all alteration costs.  Ice show costumes cannot be exchanged or returned.  Payment options are cash, check, Visa/MasterCard/Discover.  Danskin tights in suntan or toast are worn with all costumes unless otherwise specified.
