Synchronized skating is the original form of group skating events. It is for skaters of all ages and ability, minimum of eight skaters and maximum of 24. Synchronized team skating stresses the importance of unison, the accuracy of formations and synchronization of the team, incorporated into a program of the specified time. The objective is for the skaters to perform as one unit as opposed to individual soloists. Teams are divided by age and team ability level.
The Crystal Ice House has experienced a growing interest in Synchronized skating. Therefore, we are looking to expand our program to 5 teams for the 2009-2010 season. To qualify for a team, skaters must have passed the Basic 4 level. They must also attend one clinic and the try-out which is held in May.
