Crystal Ice House Physical Education Activities
The Crystal Ice House Physical Education program seeks to improve the physical-fitness levels of each student, introduce new activities, or improve and increase students' recreational skills through our offerings of new programs. Emphasis is placed on instruction in a variety of popular on ice sports and recreational activities, especially those with carry-over value.

The Crystal Ice House Physical Education Activities will meet at least one or more of the following:
The students will demonstrate that they have the knowledge to establish and maintain physical fitness and personal health.
ü Derive the benefits of engaging in regular physical activity
ü Identify the fitness benefits of a particular activities
The students will learn and enhance skills to participate in sports, game and activities.
ü Form an awareness of activities which can be used throughout life
ü Identify and demonstrate the basic skills in that sport, game or activity.
ü Apply appropriate rule and strategies while participating or competing.
ü State the history and cultural facets of that sport, game, or activity when applicable
ü Exhibit good sportsmanship and learn to play with the spirit of the rules.
The students will understand the emotional and social benefits of participation in physical activity.
ü Demonstrate self control and the ability to cope with success and failure
ü Accept classmates regardless of ability and treat opponents with respect and courtesy
ü Show a willingness to give their best effort in each activity.
Cost per Student - $2.00
¨ Ice Skating includes skate rental
¨ Ball Hockey includes plastic sticks and helmet rental
¨ Broomball includes broom and helmet rental
¨ Curling includes broom and stone rental
