All of our Learn to Skate USA classes are taught by certified instructors who share in the program's mission to provide a fun and positive experience that will instill a lifelong love of skating. Participants in Crystal Ice House’s Group Lessons must pay an annual LTS USA fee (renewed yearly in the summer Group session) that includes standardized curriculum founded in solid and enjoyable skill progression, secondary sports accident insurance, skill progression patches (Ice Explorers; SPS 1-4; Hockey 1-4; Basic 1-6; Pre-Free Skate - Free Skate 6), and more.

Ice Explorers

Ice Explorers is a class designed for skaters under four years old, or any skater who is not ready to be on the ice by themselves. They will be accompanied by a parent or guardian who will also be learning basic skating skills on the ice with their skater.

Snowplow Sam (SPS 1-4)

Snowplow Sam 1-4 invites children age 6 and younger to learn the joys of ice skating in a safe, introductory setting. Young skaters will have fun while learning how to fall and get back up, how to march across the ice, and ultimately build confidence in themselves and their abilities. Hockey SPS and Figure SPS classes are divided into four progressive levels for kids with no prior skating experience, help preschool-age skaters develop the coordination and strength to move across the ice.

excel Hockey

This one of a kind class helps develop correct technique right from the start and helps skaters reach their full potential. Hockey Power focuses on forward and backward skating, stops, turns, transitions and explosive starts. Skaters become more powerful, stable, explosive, and efficiently fast.
